Mat for releasably holding an object
The invention relates to a mat, in particular a self-adhesive mat, which is at least partially formed from an elastically deformable material.
An elastic, in particular self-adhesive mat is known from the prior art. If a self-adhesive mat known from the prior art lies flat on a smooth surface, for example on a table, the mat adheres to the surface and can only be detached from the surface by the mat on
Edge is raised.
WO2016 / 010585 A1 discloses a one-piece device comprising a self-adhesive mat and a shell arranged on the mat. This device primarily serves the purpose of enabling toddlers to eat independently without the need for
Bowl is knocked over.
US 2008/0216753 A1 discloses a two-part device comprising a doormat and a cup which can be fixed thereon. The bowl can be welded, screwed on,
Sticking etc. to the doormat.
US 2,813,509 discloses a two-part device comprising a mat and a cup which can be fixed on this mat. For fixation it is provided that the bowl is inserted with a projection on the underside into a tab on the mat.
The devices disclosed in US 2008/0216753 A1 and US 2,813,509 serve primarily the purpose of pet feeding.
A disadvantage of the described one-piece device consisting of a self-adhesive mat and a shell consists in a very cumbersome handling of the device due to the elastic nature of the mat. Another disadvantage is the large amount of space required due to the size of the mat and the height of the shell, especially for storage and cleaning.
/ 14
The described two-part variant from US 2008/0216753 A1 has the disadvantage that it becomes a one-piece embodiment variant after a fixed connection by means of welding or screwing, or that the two elements cannot be separated without being destroyed.
The two-part variant described in US 2,813,509 has the disadvantage that the two elements, namely bowl and doormat, can be detached from one another relatively easily when subjected to excessive stress, for example by a dog which presses the bowl against the side with its snout, which is disadvantageous in use.
The object of the invention is to further develop a mat known according to the prior art, so that the space requirement, in particular for storage and cleaning, is minimized and at the same time a high-strength fixation of an object is made possible.
The object is achieved according to the invention in that a mat of the type mentioned at the outset has at least one recess, a receiving device being positioned in the recess and at least partially consisting of a firmer material than the mat. A firmer material can be a material that has a higher Shore20 hardness than the mat itself.
An advantage achieved with the device according to the invention can be seen in particular in the fact that the mat and an object fixable thereon can be stored and cleaned separately from one another, thereby minimizing the space requirement of the device. Furthermore, a high-strength fixation of an object is made possible, which can be released quickly and easily after use.
The recess can, but does not have to be formed continuously as an opening in the mat.
It is preferably provided that the mat is at least partially formed from an elastic material, in particular from a food-compatible material, for example from a silicone and / or a thermoplastic elastomer, so that food compatibility is ensured and the mat is dishwasher-safe.
/ 14
Furthermore, it can preferably be provided that an underside of the mat is smooth to ensure self-adhesion of the mat on smooth surfaces. In addition, a structured underside of the mat can be provided in order to regulate the strength of the self-adhesion.
It is advantageous if the underside of the mat is formed over the entire surface in order to maximize the adhesion of the mat to smooth surfaces. Alternatively, it can be provided that the underside of the mat is structured and, for example, has a recessed surface on the underside and z. B. is formed with notches. This allows the extent or strength of self-liability to be set.
It is also possible for an outer edge to be raised on an upper side of the mat. If the mat is used for pet feeding or eating in general, the raised edge can serve as a barrier to dirt.
It is preferably provided that the receiving device has a twist lock with a lock in order to ensure simple and high-strength fixation of an object on the mat. A bayonet lock can be provided as the lock, which is particularly easy to use and can be fixed with high strength.
It is advantageous that the receiving device is at least partially made of a thermoplastic, so that the twist lock is stable and has a long service life.
To prevent dirt and bacteria from accumulating, the
Cradle may be positioned on an edge of the exception. It is particularly advantageous if the receiving device closes with the mat without gaps.
It is advantageous if the object, in particular a bowl or a bowl, can be detachably fixed in the receiving device.
In order to enable the object to be fixed quickly on or on the mat, it is advantageous if the object can be fixed by rotating it in the receiving device.
/ 14
According to the invention, the object is at least partially made of a thermoplastic, so that food compatibility is ensured and the object is dishwasher-safe. Another advantage is that the thermoplastic object can be produced inexpensively.
It is advantageous if the object has a connection piece for the receiving device on an underside so that the object can be fixed in the receiving device. This connecting piece can be a counterpart to a bayonet catch in the mat and can engage in this in a positive and / or non-positive manner.
To enable easy handling, the invention provides that the object has at least one handle.
To further improve handling, it can be provided that the at least one handle is at least partially coated with silicone.
Fig. 1 shows a plan view of a mat according to the invention;
Fig. 2 shows a side view of a bowl;
Fig. 3 shows a set of mat and object in a partially cross-sectional representation.
In Fig. 1, a mat 1 is shown in plan view. The mat 1 is approximately round with a cut side and made of an elastic material, in particular silicone. Alternatively, it can be provided that the mat 1 is formed from a thermoplastic elastomer in order to enable more economical production. With the cut side, the mat 1 can finally be positioned on an edge or wall. In addition, for example, two mats 1 can be strung together on the cut side. The mat 1 can also have any other shape and z. B. be rectangular. Furthermore, the mat 1 has a circular recess 2 in the center. In the recess 2 is one
Receiving device 3, in particular a bayonet lock, positioned. Alternatively, any rotary lock, a thread, a Velcro, snap or click lock or a plug connection can be positioned in the recess 2. In addition, instead of a twist lock, at least one magnet can be incorporated into the mat 1, which / 14 enables fixation by means of an object-side, opposite-pole magnet or magnet. Optionally, a Velcro fastener can also be provided as the receiving device.
The mat 1 is delimited by a raised outer edge 5. A detaching handle can be provided on this edge 5, which facilitates detachment of the mat 1 from the smooth surface. Furthermore, the mat 1 according to the invention has a smooth, full-surface underside 4, not shown in FIG. 1.
2 shows an object 6, in particular a bowl, in a side view. The object 6 has a connection piece 7 for the receiving device 3, not shown in FIG. 2, on an underside. This connection piece 7 can be, for example, the counterpart to a bayonet catch, a thread, a Velcro fastener, a plug connection or a magnet that is opposite in polarity to the magnet in the mat. Handles 8 on the side of the object 6 serve for better handling of the object 6.
In Fig. 3 a set 9 of mat 1 and object 6 is shown. The object 6 is connected to the receiving device 3 by means of a connector 7. An advantage of the device according to the invention is that an object 6 which is fixed to a self-adhesive mat 1 can neither be moved nor knocked over.
In addition, a division into mat 1 and an object 6 that can be fixed thereon offers the possibility of combining the elements in a modular and purpose-oriented manner. So bowls or bowls of different sizes and / or properties can be used. In addition, the modular design of the device
Field of application of the device expanded. For example, a holder for a mobile phone and / or a navigation device for self-adhesive mounting on the dashboard of a vehicle can be fixed in the receiving device 3.
In a method for producing a mat 1 according to the invention, one is made from a
Thermoplastic manufactured recording device 3 presented and cast with an elastic material, in particular silicone in an injection molding process. Such a procedure is expedient in order to ensure a transition between mat and receiving device that is as free of gaps as possible. In addition, an intimate, stable connection of the receiving device 3 with the surrounding silicone is thereby achieved.
